#1 When you purchase on line, at the bait store or a department store like wall-mart look for crappie fishing jigs with a 1/32 to 1/8 ounce weight on them. Crappie fishing jigs can be purchased in sizes from 1/64 oz usually up to 1/4 ounce.I personally use jigs in the 1/32 to 1/8 once size.Crappie fishing jigs have most of their weight concentrated in the jig head. Also, jigs are packaged and marked with there weights and sometimes the hook size.

This jig is one of the most common crappie jigs used by crappie fisherman and is very inexpensive.
