Universal experiences, by nature, remind us all that despite all of our superficial differences we really are more alike than we would sometimes like to believe. I do believe that there is someone for everyone. I also believe that it will take a lot of dating to find that someone. That means a lot of bad dates. Instead of crying about bad dates, or being upset that it didn’t work out with someone, I think we need to re-evaluate. Bad dates are a good thing: its one more person to take out of the potential marriage pool. It’s another step towards your perfect partner.
Have expectations that are realistic. Soap operas are fiction, no woman or man is going to be perfect and romantic all the time in a real relationship – especially when they are just starting out in the relationship game and learning all the rules about dealing with the opposite sex. Be patient, and realize that in real life, the world is populated by real people – meaning, flawed people.
