I decided at some point in the year gone by that I would search and find my soul mate online. I had avoided taking this drastic measure for several years but it seemed like everyone I know, including friends and co-workers, are signing on, creating profiles, and finding love online.  If they can do it, why can’t I?

Life and the notes on a sheet of music are both similarly rhythmic.  Even though the people may come and go, you are eager to at some point, to hear the whole concerto.  I knew that when I could find that special someone, the missing notes in my life would be found.  An enduring addition can happen to your life’s rhythm when you have a soulmate.

Since I was new to the world of internet dating, in my initial searches for a soulmate, I was wary of revealing too much information about myself. I wasn’t sure of how to draw the attention of people. Neither was I sure of how much to share about myself. To identify the best way to handle them, I started reading methods used by other users which have proven successful. The material that came up through the search was very inspiring.

I continued my efforts to find my soul mate and came across Mark’s story. When he met H2O, Mark was a college student. His friends and he were surfing the internet when a banner for an online dating site popped up. They decided to explore the site as a joke.

As the night progressed further Mark and his friends made a bet. Mark was to find a date online within a month, if he succeeded his friends would wash his athletic gear for a whole year thereafter. Mark decided to take these guys on and give a shot at winning the bet.

He made his profile and started chatting with women, most of whom were highly offended by the bet but Mark continued to be honest for as he says “I wanted to be upfront about the bet so that it doesn’t become an issue later on”.

Mark’s despair grew and hopes of success withered as the month end drew nearer. he’d have to wash his gear and that of all his friends for the whole next year.

With two days to go Mark stumbled upon a profile that caught his attention. Immediately, he shot off an email to her, she responded and they chatted the whole night. They set up a date a t a local movie theatre as H2O was from a nearby town. She was not in any way perturbed by the bet. “Mark says “She has a great sense of humour”. “We dated for 6 months and knew we wanted to be together forever. We got engaged and are to be married in 2010.”

While trying to search for love I was led to great success stories, but it also showed me the problems you can face if you are not careful. However, a problem that she did not expect was to arise. Nothing stops a person who claims to be divorced from a previous spouse from being married now!”

Yellowtutu found her ultimate man online. She was a single mother with 3 teenaged children. She connected with Digthis who had 2 sons form a previous marriage. She informed her children about him after having communicated with him for many months.

On the first date Yellowtutu’s eldest daughter fell head over heels for Digthis’s younger son. He too was attracted towards her and so they started meeting without their parents knowledge for over a year. The kids told their story when Yellowtutu and Digthis decided that they’re relationship wasn’t working out.
